4th of July

We decided that even though Will is only 2 weeks old to go watch fireworks.  There is a really cute town right on the sound called Steilacoom.  According to Ryan's thorough research they have a really good fireworks show which was surprising to us because it is such a small town, but it was a very good show.  Amazingly enough, Will managed to sleep through every loud "BOOM" of each firework. They were so loud that the vibrations were causing car alarms to go off, but Will slept through them all.  He's just such a sound sleeper.  We enjoyed our little 4th of July outing.

First Blog

So this is our attempt to stay in touch with everyone.  Now that we're an official family, we'll be updating our blog so that you can see what's going on in our lives.

Will is 11 days old today and continues to amaze us.  I didn't know that babies are so receptive at such a young age.  He just looks at us and really takes it all in.  It's so adorable.  The other night Ryan and I were laying in bed with Will between us and we noticed that as we were talking to him, he turned his little head and looked right at us.  He'd turn his head to the right and look at Ryan when he talked and as soon as I'd say something, he's shift his entire focus over to me.  It was so amazing!  We are loving every minute of being parents...even the poopy diapers.  :)
